Main with tc netem delaying GitHub egress showed 6498 ms of cross-host blocking. No speedup multiplier claimed: host response durations vary. The PR initial sweep proves independent reads.

Earlier combined selection including settling cases failed two quiet-head assertions (expected 4/8, actual 5/9). Replacing only the reactor with pre-change 30724e2 code reproduced both failures. Isolated quiet cases pass before and after. Existing shared-layer test interference; no source changes.

Not exercised: real Enterprise host; 25-alias batching; four-read saturation; rate-limit/failed-fingerprint paths against a real host; native desktop/mobile; other agent providers; relay/tunnel.
